The inaugural Laughing Cows Comedy in Glossop launches with "one of the funniest, clever and sexy new sketch groups around" (Time Out) LADYGARDEN, HAYLEY ELLIS and hosted by KERRY LEIGH

LADYGARDEN - Named amongst Britain's funniest women by The Telegraph and as one of the top 5 sketch acts to see in the UK by The Independent, they have been heard on BBC Radio 4's 'Front Row' and BBC Radio 2's 'The Arts Show'.

They have appeared at Glastonbury, Latitude and Edinburgh Festival. In 2011 they shot a Taster tape with the BBC, were part of Upstairs Downtown Abbey for Comic Relief, and have appeared on Dick and Dom (BBC1). Lady Garden are currently writing and filming for Live At The Electric; a new TV series for BBC3 hosted by Russell Kane.

AN ALL FEMALE LINE OF STAND UP COMEDY - Laughing Cows Comedy has been showcasing and developing women in comedy for many years, shows currently run in Manchester, London, Birmingham, Berlin, Hebden Bridge and Edinburgh and now Glossop

Laughing Cows Comedy was set up in 1998 in London after a comedy promoter inadvertently threw down the proverbial gauntlet. ‘We were discussing female comics and I asked why there's never more than one female comedian on the bill and he said, oh we wouldn't take that risk’ Hazel the founder explained.

What the acts say ... Laughing Cows have provided me with invaluable support as a new female stand up.
