Singing audition in Glasgow for Open Mic UK are coming soon! The singing audition dates for this year’s Open Mic UK competition have been announced, and with over 9,000 entrants last year the 2012 singing competition is set to be the biggest yet! There will be singing audition in Glasgow as Open Mic UK, the competition that discovered Birdy and Hatty Keane, begins its search for the UK’s best vocalists, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists. The singing audition in Glasgow for Open Mic UK are coming to Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow on Saturday 8th September 2012. Check out the Open Mic UK promo video here:

Open Mic UK is the largest national music competition for singers and solo artists in the UK, and the singing audition for Glasgow are coming soon! The Open Mic UK singing audition travel across the country every year in search of the UK's best singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists. Acts can perform either covers or original material and will perform their singing audition live in front of an industry specialist judging panel.

Those who make it through the singing audition stage will go on to perform across the UK in live showcases complete with an audience and judging panel in some of the UK’s most prestigious live music venues. By entering for the Open Mic UK singing audition, acts have the chance to progress through the competition to play the Grand Final at the UK’s most recognised live music venue, The O2 in London.

The singing audition and live showcase judging panels are made up of music industry specialists, A&R, vocal coaches and guest celebrities. Gracing the judging panel in previous years has been Radio 1 DJ Annie Nightingale, Another Level star Dane Bowers and R’n’B sensation and double Mobo award winner Shola Ama, who are hopefully set to make another appearance for the 2012 competition!
