CLAIRE BEAR HAS FUNDRAISING CHALLANGE ALL ZIPPED UP!



Claire House Children’s Hospice’s very own Claire Bear has been getting the adrenaline pumping ready to complete a 1,000ft zip wire challenge, all to raise funds for the Wirral-based hospice.



Part of the Liverpool Duck Race, taking place on Saturday 7th July, the Zip Wire Challenge sees participants zoom down a zip wire attached to a crane situated outside the new Museum on Liverpool. Claire Bear has been practising her zip-wire skills at Arrowe Park in Birkenhead.



Jayne Dixon, Senior Events Fundraiser at Claire House Children’s Hospice, said; “This challenge is not for the faint hearted but it is for the fun-loving! Zipping through the air at speed will be a brilliant experience and with the Liverpool skyline at your backdrop, what could be better?”



Participants are raising a minimum sponsorship of £200, all of which goes to support children and young people with complex medical conditions that visit Claire House for respite and end of life care.



Jayne adds; “The challenge puts the fun back into fundraising and we’d love to see as many people as possible flying across the waterfront on 7th July. Hopefully they’ll be a little more graceful than Claire Bear.”
